ROKAmer R2150 is a non-ionic surfactant belonging to block copolymers of ethylene oxide and propylene oxide EO / PO (ROKAmers). This product has the form of a clear, colourless liquid with a low coagulation temperature, i.e. below -20°C. It is a highly concentrated product with an active substance content of about 100%. The ROKAmer R2150 water solution is a liquid at room temperature. It becomes cloudy at 33–38 °C.
This is a product of moderate hydrophobic properties and good degreasing and wetting properties on hard surfaces. Due to these features, ROKAmer R2150 is applied as a component of professional dishwasher detergents, industrial bottle washing and preparations for metal degreasing, among other purposes.
The product is a high-molecular polymer with a specific, bifunctional structure, which means that it has two hydrophilic groups. This feature distinguishes the ROKAmer group from other non-ionic surfactants and determines their properties. ROKAmer R2150 is one of the products with low- and anti-foaming properties.
It works perfectly as an ingredient of lubricants in the metal and textile industries. It works very well at elevated temperatures. The product is characterised by good surface washability. It achieves very good results as an ingredient for the production of professional detergents for institutional and industrial washing.
In addition, ROKAmer R2150 is a reactive surfactant. Therefore, it is possible to further modify it, e.g. with fatty acids. Due to its anti-foaming properties, the product can be used in many industrial processes, such as paper pulp production, fermentation, food and sugar processing, and vegetable washing. Its derivatives are anti-foaming ingredients for the paper and food industries (e.g. for sugar production), as well as for numerous processes associated with foaming of waste water and process water at higher temperatures.
Due to its properties, ROKAmer R2150 reduces the surface tension between the liquid and air. At the same time, it improves the “drainage” of foam, resulting in its reduction.
ROKAmer R2150 does not contain silicone and is highly susceptible to aerobic biodegradation.
It is also not classified according to the CLP/GHS Regulation.
This product has Kosher certification.
ROKAmer R2150 complies with the regulations allowing the product to come into indirect contact with food. The American Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has approved the use of this product and its derivatives as an antifoam under the conditions described in the following sections of the FDA:
