ROKAcet CC6 is a non-ionic surfactant with the INCI name:PEG-6 Caprylic/Capric Glycerides. It is a glyceride of a mixture of caprylic and capric acids, ethoxylated with 6 moles of ethylene oxide.
"Caprylic" as part of the INCI name means that the product contains caprylic acid (octanoic acid) as a component of the fatty acid (introduced mainly by the acylation reaction).
At the temperature of 20÷25°C, Rokacet CC6 is a clear liquid with a colour of max. 150 on the Hazen scale. The product has a characteristic odour and shows good solubility.
ROKAcet CC6 is a surfactant designed for the cosmetics industry, used mainly as an ingredient for the production of care and washing cosmetics.
It works perfectly as an emulsifier that helps to mix water-insoluble substances, such as oils and fats. This makes it possible to obtain a smooth, homogeneous consistency of the final product.
The product also has very good washing properties and a mild effect on the skin.
ROKAcet CC6 works well, e.g. in the production of face and hair tonics, aftershaves, solvents and solubilisers of active ingredients, fragrance oils, dyes and bases for care creams.
Moreover, the product has a number of other features desirable in the production of cosmetics, including: moisturising, binding, softening and fixing properties. ROKAcet CC6 is also a very good modifier of rheological properties.
This product is subject to ADN regulations. It is not subject to ADR/RID regulations.
