EXOhib PC108 is a mixture of chemicals that is based on diethanolamine salt of polyoxyethylene (10) C12-14 alcohol phosphate. The product is a corrosion inhibitor for waterborne anti-corrosion paints.
The commercial product is a 50% clear, yellow to dark brown solution. Its pH ranges between 6 and 8, so the product does not require neutralization before use.
As the main corrosion inhibitor, EXOhib PC108 effectively protects metal surfaces against corrosion. The addition of EXOhib PC108 in the finished paint formulation allows for very good anti-corrosion properties of the coating, providing a long-term protective effect.
The product contains adhesion promoters, which ensures excellent adhesion of the coating, even when exposed to aggressive corrosive agents. In addition, it has a positive effect on the reduction of paint blistering.
Due to its unique composition, EXOhib PC108 can be used as an alternative to commonly used solid corrosion inhibitors, such as phosphates (especially zinc phosphate), molybdates and borates. One of its greatest advantages is its very high effectiveness, achieved even at relatively low concentrations in the finished product.
It is especially recommended for the production of coatings applied on steel surfaces .The compatibility with other paint components, such as pigments, fillers, polymer dispersions and auxiliary agents, is an unquestionable advantage.
Depending on the type of formulation, the recommended use level is 0.5-2.0%.
The product is classified according to Regulation (EC) No. 1272/2008 [CLP/GHS].
The product is subject to ADR/RID, ADN, IMDG/IATA international transport regulations.
