EXOfos PB-1016M is an anionic surfactant that belongs to the group of phosphoric esters. It is manufactured using monoester technology. It is based on alkoxylated lauryl alcohol and is offered in an acidic form.
At room temperature, EXOfos PB-1016M is a liquid. The product has good solubility in water. It is resistant to acidic and alkaline conditions. It solidifies at temperatures below -20°C. It has an acid number to the first inflection point in the range of 50 to 60 mg KOH/g and to the second inflection point in the range from 105 to 125 mg KOH/g.
It has very good emulsifying and lubricating properties. It is intended mainly for use as a component of oils, greases and preparations intended for surface treatment of metals.
Additionally, EXOfos PB-1016M helps inhibit corrosion on the surface of ferrous and non-ferrous metals, such as copper. One of its greatest advantages is low-foaming properties and resistance to high temperatures. Therefore, it is perfect as an additive to mineral base oils and cleaning formulations.
It is classified according to Regulation (EC) No. 1272/2008 [CLP/GHS] and international transport regulations ADR/RID, ADN, IMDG, IATA.
