Rokanate M PE 0805 is a one-component polyurethane adhesive used for the production of regenerated foam blocks with high flexibility of the final product (rebound foam). It is moisture-cured. It is characterized by a viscosity at 25°C in the range of 100-500 mPa·s, with the content of NCO groups in the range of 7.9-8.6%. ROKANATE M PE 0805 is a version of adhesive with reduced reactivity.
Rokanate M PE 0805 is dedicated to the production of blocks from regenerated foam. It is an adhesive with reduced reactivity (Rokanate M PE 0805 adhesive should be used during hot weather).
Rokanate M PE 0805 is a one-component polyurethane adhesive based on modified MDI used for the production of regenerated foam blocks with high flexibility of the final product. It is moisture-cured.
Recommended processing conditions
Raw materials for production should be dry and degreased. Foam granules (e.g. from used mattresses) should be fed to the mixer and water added in an amount of 8 - 15% based on the weight of the foam granules. The properties of the molded element, e.g. regenerated foam blocks, depend on the size of the foam granulate and the amount of one-component polyurethane glue, and in the case of the molded process also on the degree of compression during hardening. The amount of glue should be selected after application tests - it depends on the granulation of the foam and its type. Typically, 4 to 10% of glue is used based on the weight of the foam. Then mix ROKANATE M PE 0805 with the foam for about 5 - 10 minutes to evenly distribute the moisture. Pour the resulting mixture with glue into the mold, compress it to the desired product density and leave it until it is completely cross-linked. Remove the resulting block from the mold and set aside for 24 hours at room temperature to season. After this time, the block gains full mechanical strength and further processing can be carried out. Temperature and humidity have a significant impact on the reactivity of ROKANATE M PE 0805 glue. High temperature and humidity accelerate polymerization reactions. Low temperature and low humidity slow down the hardening process.
Rebound foam (re-foamed) is a flexible, durable and at the same time economical material. The resulting foam has weaker mechanical properties than the original foam and is used for less demanding applications.
Rebound foam is most often used for the production of upholstered furniture, insulating and sound-absorbing mats, rehabilitation mattresses, gymnastic mats, flexible suspended ceilings in sports halls, sleeping mats in truck cabins, sports protectors, and inserts for sports and rehabilitation equipment. Rebound foam works great as a shock-absorbing pad in the transport of e.g. glass and as a pad for carpets in households.
Rokanate M PE 0805 does not contain harmful organic solvents and plasticizers included in the Candidate List of High Concern (SVHC). It allows you to obtain foam blocks with very low hardness and high flexibility of the final product.
the product ensures high flexibility of the rebound foam joint,
the product does not contain SVHC plasticizers,
the product does not contain organic solvents,
the product allows you to obtain foam blocks with very low hardness and high flexibility of the final product.
Product use:
recycled foam, rebound - used in various industries: in construction - for the production of: underlays for panels, carpets, thermal and acoustic insulation in apartments, houses, recording studios. In the automotive industry for soundproofing cars, floors, door panels, engine compartment partitions, dashboards), thermal insulation. In sports, for the production of mattresses, sports mats and elastic floors. In the furniture industry for the production of upholstered inserts (seats, backrests, armrests, headrests, mattresses, specialized pillows) In horticulture for the production of plant breeding mats and as a shock-absorbing pad in transport,
