Roflam P LO is a commonly used flame retardant known as TCPP. It occurs in the form of a colourless liquid with low dynamic viscosity, which makes it compatible with many liquid raw materials. It is dedicated primarily to polyurethane plastics, especially for flexible foams, where high requirements for the emission of volatile organic compounds are in force.

Properties and applications

The advantages of Roflam P LO:

  • effective flame retardant,
  • synergy with powder flame retardants (including antimony trioxide, melamine),
  • low emission of volatile organic compounds,
  • excellent miscibility and compatibility with liquid raw materials,
  • a minimal effect of the additive on the physico-mechanical properties of flexible polyurethane foams.

The benefits of using Roflam P LO:

  • obtaining polyurethane foams that meet the requirements of fire tests, among others in the furniture industry (e.g. BS 5852) and automotive (e.g. FMVSS 302),
  • meeting the requirements for emissions of Volatile Organic Compounds in the automotive industry,
  • maintaining good physical and mechanical parameters of flexible polyurethane foams.

  Applications:

  • furniture industry - armchairs, sofas, mattresses, pillows,
  • transport sector - seats, armrests, headrests, damping elements (acoustic insulation).
