ROKAnol® NL3 is a non-ionic surfactant from the group of ethoxylated alcohols (INCI name: C9-11 Pareth-3). The product belongs to the ROKAnol® NL series based on C9-C11 synthetic alcohol. High surface activity allows them to be used mainly in detergents and cleaning agents.
ROKAnol® NL3 at room temperature is in the form of a clear or cloudy liquid with a tendency to delaminate over time. At about -5°C it solidifies, while at 40°C it is a clear liquid with a light colour, i.e. up to 50 Hazen-scale. The product contains about 100% of the active substance. Among the other products of the ROKAnol® NL series, this one has a low HLB. The product creates turbid solutions in water.
Due to the non-ionic nature, it works perfectly in combination with other non-ionic, cationic and anionic surface-active compounds. ROKAnol® NL3 stands out from other products of the ROKAnol® NL series as is generates no foam. In addition, it has very high detergent, emulsifying and dispersing properties. ROKAnol® NL3 is perfectly suited as a co-surfactant in all types of cleaning formulations, especially in products intended for industrial and institutional applications.
The basic feature of ROKAnol® NL3 is its high efficiency of degreasing hard surfaces. In combination with ROKAnol® NL6 and ROKAnol® NL8, it exhibits synergism in cleaning performance. Examples of such application are: degreasing agents for sheet metal and metal parts, floor cleaning products, professional products for gastronomy. ROKAnol® NL3 in cleaning formulations is usually used in the presence of a hydrotrope or solvent (e.g., BDG), which improves its stability in the formulation.
ROKAnol® NL3 is a completely biodegradable product and meets the criteria of the detergents directive.
