Rokopol® MS5215 is a dispersion of the styrene-acrylonitrile copolymer in the reactive alkoxylated triol, where the copolymer content is 15%. The product is in the form of a white, clear liquid, and it contains antioxidants (excluding BHT), and is characterized by high purity and low emissions. It has a hydroxyl value within the range 29-32 mgKOH/g, and its dynamic viscosity is 1200-1500 mPas at 25°C.
Rokopol® MS5215 is used for production of: high resilience (HR) flexible polyurethane foams using the continuous system (slabstock), batch foams and moulded foams. Together with appropriately selected additives (catalysts, silicones, foaming agents), Rokopol® MS5215 allows to produce blocks of high resilience (HR) flexible foam with rectangular cross-section and height up to 100 cm.
Main advantages of application of polyol Rokopol® MS5215:
possibility to manufacture foams of density within the range 25-80 kg/m3 and hardness within the range 2-5kPa, and elasticity up to 55%,
tear resistance of the foam is above 50kPa and relative elongation at rupture up to 60%,
used with other polymeric polyols, optimises properties, e.g.: increases foam hardness, mitigates trapezoid blocks, increases block’s height and openness of the foam.
Most popular applications of Rokopol® MS5215:
high resilience (HR) flexible foams with excellent parameters and moulded foams,
as comfortable material for production of mattresses, pillows, seats and headrests,
possibility of obtaining high resilience (HR) flexible foams with excellent parameters, including density, elasticity and tear resistance,
possibility of using in applications with other polyols to optimize features such as foam hardness, openness, and trapezoidal effect reduction, increasing block’s height,
used in the furniture and automotive industries as a comfortable material,
