ROKAnol® L4 is a non-ionic surfactant belonging to the group of ethoxylated fatty alcohols called INCI: Laureth-4. The product is part of a group of surfactants based on lauryl alcohol with C12-C14 carbon distribution. It has the form of a clear or turbid liquid with a color of max. 70 Hazen at 40 ° C. The commercial product contains over 99.9% of the active substance and solidifies at a temperature of about 8°C.

ROKAnol® L4 is slightly soluble in water, in which it forms cloudy solutions. It is characterized by HLB value of about 10. Water solutions of ROKAnol® L4 are resistant to acids, hard water and partially to alkalis.
ROKAnol® L4 can be used as an emulsifier in cosmetic preparations (skin care, hair care, antiperspirants), household products and lubricating products (silicone based preparations). In addition, the product is used in the pre-treatment of fibres as a component of the formulation for removing mineral oil stains from knit and woven fabrics resulting from industrial knitting and weaving processes.
The product, due to its excellent wetting properties, can be used as a component of the bleaching compositions for raw knitted fabrics and cotton fabrics. It is also used in the final stage of the textile dyeing process as one of the components removing excess dyes from the bath.
The product may be mixed with non-ionic, cationic and anionic agents, both in an anhydrous medium and in aqueous solutions. ROKAnol® L4 is used to obtain anionically active substances, as a non-ionic component of emulsifiers, a raw material for the production of dishwashing agents, a component for the production of cleaning agents (waxes, pastes and other cleaning preparations). ROKAnol® L4 is biodegradable in the natural environment.
