ROKAnol H5 is a non-ionic surfactant from the group of ethoxylated alcohols, and is classified as a product based on low molecular weight alcohol. The product contains approx. 100% of active substance and is a clear or cloudy liquid that solidifies at temperatures below -20°C. ROKAnol® H5 has high water solubility. All these features facilitate handling of the product.
The product's cloud-point in butyldiglycol solution oscillates between 86÷89°C (10% solution). The product can be used in the environment of oxidizing, reducing factors and presence of hard water. Due to its ionic character, this product may be used in a mixture with other non-ionic, anionic and cationic surfactants. ROKAnol® H5 is highly hydrophilic. Its HLB value is 13.5, which means that it has strong emulsifying properties with oils. It also shows hydrotropic properties, which improves the stability of the formulation.
High surfactant activity and high hydrophilic capacity of ROKAnol® H5 are used mainly in detergents and cleaning agents. Due to its specific structure, the product has high penetrating capacities. This property contributes to a high quality of removing dirt from hard surfaces and knit and woven fabrics. Due to its numerous advantages, the product is perfectly suited as a component of weakly alkaline and acidic detergents, including products for professional use. Examples of such formulations are: universal cleaning liquids, bathroom and kitchen cleaning agents, floor cleaners, degreasing preparations for the catering industry, formulations for degreasing metal parts, or preparations used for heavy soiling (removal of oil stains from tyres). The product is compatible with solvents and due to its high penetrating properties can be used in formulations designed to remove waterborne paints.
ROKAnol® H5 is also included in cleaning compositions intended for use in printing machines. In addition, the product works very well as a compatibilizer in the production of PUD dispersions and has the potential to emulsify polyethylene waxes.
ROKAnol H5 is biodegradable and meets the criteria of the Detergents Directive.
