Rokopol® RF151V is a propoxylated Mannich base, reactive multifunctional polyether aromatic polyol for polyurethane (PUR) rigid and semi-rigid foam production in reaction with isocyanate. It exists in the form of orange to brown colour, without antioxidants. It retains high viscosity of ca. 8,000 mPas at temp. 25°C, high functionality of f~4.7 and high hydroxyl value of ~460 mgKOH/g.
Rokopol® RF151V is dedicated to produce polyurethane PUR systems of medium viscosity and very good mechanical properties of the rigid foam. It is recommended in particular for spray application of rigid PUR foam of low lambda value, relatively low density and good adhesion to polyurethane foam and other surfaces, including metal and wood. Mannich polyols demonstrate very high miscibility with typical polyols for application of rigid PUR foam, i.e. sorbitol, sucrose and with most polyester polyols. This ensures big freedom in designing new polyurethane systems of rigid foam.
Main advantages of application of Rokopol® RF151V:
presence of amine in the polyol allows reducing concentration of the catalyst (important in particular with application of new physical foaming agents which have adverse effects on catalytic systems),
improves mechanical properties of the rigid PUR foam core,
improved flame-retardant properties owing to aromatic chemical structure,
homogeneous and fine cell structure of the rigid PUR foam,
very good miscibility with hydrophobic n-pentane despite its unique hydrophilic nature.
