ABSNa 50 belongs to the group of anionic surfactants and is the sodium salt of alkyl benzene sulfonic acid with a concentration of 50%. The product is in the form of concentrated paste, which translates into economic benefits, for example in the case of using the product for the production of washing powders.
This product is in the form of a liquid paste with a tendency to delaminate, which does not affect the properties of the product. After mixing, it becomes homogeneous. The colour of the product reaches maximum 3 on the iodine Colour Scale (measured for a 15% solution of the product based on the active substance).- and copolymers.
ABSNa 50 is mainly used as a component of liquid and powder detergents. This product shows high foaming, wetting, emulsifying, dispersing and, above all, detergent properties. It is the basic ingredient of washing powders and gels - both for household and professional use. The product shows synergy with non-ionic products in the washing process - especially with ROKAnol L7 and ROKAnol L7A. The product can be mixed with these products and other components of washing preparations - e.g. EDTA, sodium carbonate, pyrophosphate, enzymes or fillers to obtain the final washing formulation.
The foaming properties of the product can be controlled with sodium soaps and defoaming agents. ABSNa 50 has excellent degreasing properties and is therefore used in the leather industry in wet processes, such as degreasing and washing of rawhide.
Compared to sulphated alcohols, ABSNa 50 is resistant to hydrolysis in alkaline environments, which makes it also suitable for the preparation of highly alkaline washing and cleaning agents for professional use. The product is completely anaerobically biodegradable and thus complies with the Directive of detergents and cosmetics No. 648/2004.
The product is also used in many industrial applications. ABSNa 50 is designed both for removing dyes from dyeing baths in textile processes, and for activating aluminium oxide during the production of aerated concrete. This product is one of the key components of aerated concrete admixtures and cement mortars.
In addition, ABSNa 50 also works well as an emulsifier in the production of styrene-acrylic dispersions and styrene-butadiene latexes. Furthermore, it can be used for the production of acrylic dispersions and vinyl acetate homo- and copolymers.
