Roflam F6 is a halogen-free solution for efficient flame retardation in plastics. The additive provides a high class of fire resistance without adversely affecting the mechanical properties of the finished product. During the combustion process, the presence of a flame retardant promotes the formation of a less flammable, charred coating that acts as a barrier between the material and the flame. The use of Roflam F6 additive together with inorganic flame retardants in powder form increases the fire resistance profile through a synergistic effect.

Properties and applications

Product application advantages:

  • halogen-free product that does not emit toxic gases during combustion processes,
  • the possibility of obtaining a formulation for the production of semi-rigid foam that meets the requirements of DIN 4102-1 class B2,
  • the possibility of obtaining a formulation for the production of acoustic foam that meets the requirements of FMVSS 302,
  • the possibility of using in synergy with solid inorganic flame retardants in order to improve the flammability class of the material,
  • ensures an increase in fire resistance of plastics without adversely affecting mechanical properties.

 Applications:

  • furniture industry (mattresses, sofas, armchairs, upholstered furniture),
  • automotive industry (acoustic insulation, car seats),
  • C.A.S.E. (Coatings, Adhesives, Sealants, Elastomers),
  • construction industry (construction materials).
