Hydrochloric acid 33% grade is a by-product of MCAA (monochloroacetic acid) production process. It is highly corrosive, has a pungent, irritating smell, transparent to pale-yellow colour. It is delivered to the market in liquid form in concentration from 33% to 34%, in 1000L IBC containers, in 24 t road tank cars, in 56 t dedicated rail tank cars. The hydrochloric acid 33% is produced in the process by chlorination of organic compounds.
This product is used in power plants industry as a regenerator of ion exchangers, in industrial water treatment as a Ph regulator, in production of industrial chemicals, household chemicals, in the mining industry for the extraction of ores, in the production of bio-fuels, oils and lubricants, in the process of electroplating and galvanizing, tanning, textile industry, in the construction industry.
