Active Play AS H 8002 is a one-component polyurethane adhesive based on diphenylmethane diisocyanate (MDI) prepolymer. It is characterized by a higher content of NCO groups and a significantly lower dynamic viscosity than in the case of Active Play AS H 8001. The open time for this product is also much shorter. For this reason, the version 8002 of the glue is dedicated for in situ applications, including the production of sports surfaces and surfaces for playgrounds characterized by large sizes.
Active Play AS H 8002 adhesive is the right solution in applications where time is a key parameter. In addition, it is distinguished by very good flexibility and resistance to possible mechanical damage. The product can also be used in the production of finished products from SBR and EPDM granulates. Before applying the adhesive based on the prepolymer, moisten the granules first, and then place the mixture in the mould so that the curing reaction takes place during press pressure. This reaction takes place under the influence of the generated temperature and moisture from the air or after the surface is sprinkled with water.
Before using the product, make sure that the granulate is correctly selected for the adhesive used, as improper selection will reduce or even prevent the hardening of adhesive. The final properties of the heat or cold formed element depend on the size of the rubber granules, the composition and the amount of single-component adhesive used. In the case of the cold forming process, the degree of compression during curing has an additional effect on the properties.
One-component Active Play AS H 8002 polyurethane adhesive is a product that is safe for human and animal health and is harmless to the natural environment. The product does not contain volatile organic compounds (VOC). In addition, it should be borne in mind that the granulate layer obtained with a one-component pre-polymer adhesive is not UV-resistant. For this reason, discolouration and even yellowing of the created surface may appear.
Main application advantages of the product:
quick production of pavement on large open spaces,
the ability to work in demanding conditions, i.e. under time pressure,
production of durable and jointless surfaces resistant to mechanical damage,
the opportunity to work with coloured granules,
the ability to quickly glue different coloured granules on one surface.
Technical properties of the product:
adhesive consumption: 5-17% depending on the amount of granulate and fraction
open time (determined using a mist of water from the atomizer): 10-15 minutes
