EXOdis PC40 is an anionic polymer dispersant intended for paint products. It is provided in the form of 40% aqueous solution of sodium salt of polyacrylic acid. The product is clear or lightly murky yellow liquid.
EXOdis PC40 has very good dispersing properties, especially for titanium white and mineral fillers. The product is compatible with widely used acrylic dispersions, styrene and acrylic dispersions, as well as homo- and copolymers of vinyl acetate. Furthermore, it is highly compatible with the most popular rheology modifiers.
The application of EXOdis PC40 allows to significantly decrease the viscosity of aqueous suspensions of titanium white and mineral fillers. Therefore, EXOdis PC40 allows to efficiently introduce a large amount of pigment and/or fillers into the water system. Even small amounts of EXOdis PC40 enable paint products to gain perfect stability. Adding colour paints to EXOdis PC40 has a positive effect on the compatibility of pigments.
EXOdis PC40 is also used as a basic dispersing agent in waterborne decorative paints. Low content of volatile organic compounds (“VOC”) allows to produce paint formulations in compliance with Directive 2004/42/EC.
The recommended level of use of the preparation in waterborne paints is 0.1 – 0.6% (w/w).
