ABSNa 60 belongs to the group of anionic surfactants and it is a sodium salt of alkylbenzene sulfonic acid with a concentration of 60%. The product is provided in the form of a strongly concentrated paste, which translates into economic benefits, e.g. when using the product for the production of washing powders.
Despite the content of the surfactant with a concentration of 60%, the product has the form of a liquid paste with a tendency to delaminate, which does not affect its properties. After mixing, it becomes homogeneous.
ABSNa 60 is mainly used as an ingredient of liquid and powder washing agents. The product shows high foaming, wetting, emulsifying, dispersing and, above all, detergent properties. It is the basic ingredient of washing powders and gels – both for household and professional use. The product shows synergy with non-ionic products in the washing process – in particular with ROKAnol L7 and ROKAnol L7A. The product may be mixed with the above-mentioned products and other components of washing preparations (e.g. EDTA, sodium carbonate, pyrophosphate, enzymes or fillers) to obtain the final washing formulation.
The foaming properties of the product may be controlled with sodium soaps and defoaming agents. ABSNa 60 has excellent degreasing properties, making it popular in the leather industry for wet processes, such as degreasing and washing of rawhide.
Compared to sulphated alcohols, ABSNa 60 is resistant to hydrolysis in an alkaline environment, which makes it also suitable for the preparation of highly alkaline washing and cleaning agents intended for professional use. The product is completely anaerobically biodegradable, thus it is compliant with Directive No. 648/2004 on detergents and cosmetics.
The product is also used in many industrial applications. ABSNa 60 is designed both for removing dyes from dyeing baths in textile processes and for activating aluminium oxide in the production of aerated concrete. The product is one of the key components of aerated concrete admixtures and cement mortars.
