EXOclean PW is a specialist preparation intended for industrial laundering of unprocessed wool. The product is a mixture of anionic and non-ionic surfactants. Its neutral pH and consistency of low- viscous liquid allow to use the product in process conditions. EXOclean PW is resistant to alkaline environment.
The preparation is intended for use during the main stage of industrial laundering of unprocessed wool in alkaline conditions. The wool after shearing must be first prepared for washing to remove heavy mineral impurities, faeces, straw or the shortest fibres. The main type of dirt on the unprocessed wool is fat-sweat, i.e. a mixture of tallow and sweat constantly excreted by sweat glands of sheep (lanolin is derived from fat-sweat).
During the main laundering process, the wool goes through a number of alkaline baths. The fat-sweat is intensely emulsified by surfactants contained in EXOclean PW. Therefore, the wool laundered with the product is clean, fluffy and soft, facilitating its subsequent textile processing.
