EXOfos PB-083 is an anionic surfactant that belongs to the group of phosphorous esters. The product is a mixture of mono- and diesters of phosphoric acid and 2-ethylhexanol alcohol ethoxylate. The product is offered in acidic form, but in temperature of 40-45oC, it becomes a clear or lightly murky liquid. The product is characterized by acid value from 180 to 200 mg KOH/g. It creates dispersions in water.
EXOfos PB-083 is used in lubricating greases, liquids for metal treatment, in the textile industry and as an ingredient of cleaning agents for hard surfaces. Good wetting, detergency and hydrotropic properties of esters make them popular in cleaning compositions. An important advantage of phosphorous esters is their stability in the full range of pH.
Presence of the phosphorous group gives a particle lubricating properties. Anionic phosphate esters are efficient AW/EP additives, ensuring protection of the surface in case of extreme friction. This property is especially important when the product is used under heavy workloads. Other advantages of this group of compounds include their emulsifying properties.
Acidic phosphate esters may be neutralised using various alkalising factors. In the industry of lubricants , amines are widely applied for the neutralization purposes, thanks to which the product obtains anticorrosive properties.
