ROKAnol® NB8W belongs to non-ionic surfactants (ethoxylated fatty alcohols). The product is based on a synthetic C9-C16 alcohol. High surface activity enables the use of this product in detergents and cleaning agents.
The commercial product contains approximately 85% of the active substance. It is a clear or turbid liquid with a tendency to delaminate over time, solidifying at a temperature of about -5°C. ROKAnol® NB8W has hydrophilic properties, which makes it well soluble in water and low aliphatic alcohols.
It is characterized by moderate foam formation. It has a high cloud point within 66-70°C in the water solution. It can be successfully used in an oxidizing and reducing environment, and hard water. Due to its non-ionic nature, this product can be used in a mixture with other non-ionic auxiliary agents, and in formulations with anionic as well as cationic surfactants.
The use of ROKAnol® NB8W ensures optimal wetting of the cleaned surface. Due to its very good detergent properties, it also ensures the high quality of dirt removal from both the woven fabric/knitted fabric surface and the hard surface. What is more, the product has the ability to disperse dirt particles in aqueous cleaning processes, which is important in detergency. Due to its numerous advantages, the product works well as an ingredient of alkaline and acidic detergents for professional washing, and industrial and institutional cleaning.
Due to its numerous advantages, the product works well as a component of weakly alkaline as well as acidic detergents, also for professional use. Examples of such formulations are: universal cleaning liquids, bathroom and kitchen cleaning agents, floor cleaning agents, degreasing agents for gastronomy, formulations for degreasing metal parts. In cleaning formulations, ROKAnol® NB8W is usually used in the presence of a hydrotrope or solvent (e.g. BDG), which improves its stability in the formulation. Such compositions may also contain anionic surfactants, e.g. ABSNa.
In addition, ROKAnol® NB8W has been applied to the production of flexographic paints as a dispersing agent, it is also a component of specialized agents removing ink residues from machines.
