Rokolub AD 122 is an AW/EP (antiwear/extreme pressure) greasing additive dedicated to mineral oils and synthetic oils (POE, PAO) with ISO VG 22 viscosity grade. In the formulation of oils working under heavy loads, Rokolub AD 122 is an indispensable anti-wear and anti-seizing additive. Its main task is to improve the greasing abilities of base oil. The use of Rokolub AD 122 diminishes friction of mating friction elements, and reduces the wear of equipment. In addition, it prevents machine seizure in the event of an unexpected load spike.
AW/EP additions produce a very durable lubricating film on the surface of steel elements. Phosphoric esters reacting with metal oxides and hydroxides (especially with iron compounds) located on the metal surfaces form multilayer lubricating coatings. Due to such surface protection, the friction between individual components is diminished, and thus the abrasive wear of the working steel parts of the device is reduced.
Rokolub AD 122 provides an improvement in anti-wear properties in both mineral and synthetic oils. The results of anti-wear testing using a four-ball device confirm its effectiveness. In addition, Rokolub AD 122 has a positive effect on the anti-seizing properties of various types of oils. It effectively interacts with other EP additives (phosphorus, sulphur, chlorine) bringing good surface protection in friction nodes, especially in sliding contact. Due to good compatibility with many types of oil additives, it can easily be used as a component of the additive package. Products from the Rokolub AD series are phosphorus additives, and unlike the widely used sulphated and chlorinated AW/EP additives, they do not cause corrosion or metal colouring.
The product is used as an additive for industrial oils (hydraulic oils, compressor oils, turbine oils, gear oils), industrial greases as well as metal working fluids.
PCC Rokita SA is one of the largest chemical companies in Poland as well as Central and Eastern Europe. Its activity includes the production of chloroalkali, polyether polyols, polyalkylene glycols and phosphorus derivatives.
