Rostabil TDP is a trialkyl phosphite used as a specialist additive for plastics. Occurring in the form of a homogeneous and clear liquid, plays the role of a thermal and process stabilizer successfully used in transparent products.
Plastics at elevated temperatures may decompose, which contributes to changes in the physical properties of polymer materials as a result of chemical reactions. Following the undergoing processes, the polymer chain is disrupted, and the molar mass of the macromolecular compound is reduced. These changes directly affect both the course of processing, and the performance of finished products, i.e. colour, gloss, shade.
To reduce plastic degradation, stabilizers or their mixtures are used at the stage of processing. The use of stabilizers in the processing ensures thermal protection of polymers, which eliminates the yellowing effect of the final product.
Rostabil TDP is dedicated to the processing of vinyl (poly)chloride, where it effectively extends the thermal stability of the material. The use of a phosphor stabilizer ensures stability of colour change during the processing, and eliminates the blackening effect of the finished product. Rostabil TDP is used together with primary stabilizers (e.g. calcium and zinc stearates), where, as a co-stabilizer in mixed metals, it has synergistic effects.
PCC Rokita SA is one of the largest chemical companies in Poland as well as Central and Eastern Europe. Its activity includes the production of chloroalkali, polyether polyols, polyalkylene glycols and phosphorus derivatives.
