GREENLINE Soda Lye (50% aqueous solution) belongs to inorganic chemical compounds from the hydroxide group. The product is manufactured in an environmentally friendly production process based on membrane technology, which is currently the most modern technology in the world. Membrane technology uses significantly less energy compared to other methods for obtaining sodium hydroxide. In addition, the energy consumed in the production of GREENLINE Soda Lye is covered by guarantees of origin of energy from renewable energy sources. These guarantees are issued only for energy produced from renewable sources, contributing to a significant reduction in CO2 emissionsinto the atmosphere.
GREENLINE Soda Lye is a compound that belongs to the strongest bases. In a liquid form it is a colourless, odourless and non-flammable liquid. The product belongs to the group of basic chemical raw materials, thanks to which it is used in almost every industry.
Sodium hydroxide (50% concentration) offered by the PCC Group in the ecological GREENLINE product line is also supplied to the market in the form of solutions with concentrations of 25%, 30%, 35%, 40%, 45% and others, according to individual customer needs. In addition to the fact that the energy used to manufacture the product is covered by guarantees of green energy origin, the product is characterized by very high quality and purity, thanks to which it is certified by the PZH (National Institute of Hygiene). GREENLINE Soda Lye (50% aqueous solution) also meets the guidelines of the latest edition of the European Pharmacopea, which defines the basic quality requirements and test methods, including pharmaceutical raw materials. Thanks to environmentally friendly production technology and guarantees of origin of renewable energy, the product is used in the production processes of the most demanding customers implementing the strategy of reducing the carbon footprint in the entire supply chain. Manufacturers belonging to this group represent various industries, including GREENLINE Soda Lye meets both the most stringent quality requirements and those regarding the implementation of sustainable development goals.
In the cosmetics industry, soda lye is used in various concentrations for the production of (solid) bar soaps, cleaning agents such as liquid soaps and shower gels, exfoliating masks (peels and chemical dermabrasion preparations), aseptic products and many others. The product is also used in the petrochemical industry in the refining of crude oil, mineral oils, pitch and asphalt and in the extraction of shale gases. In refineries and coking plants, soda lye is used, among others, to modify products from coal coking. In the metallurgical and metallurgical industries, sodium hydroxide is mainly used to obtain aluminium from bauxite processing.
Soda lye in various concentrations is also widely used in the pulp and paper industry. Here it is used for the production of wood pulp, from which paper or regenerated cellulose fibres are then made. Along with sodium sulfate, it is a key component of the white alcohol solution used to separate lignin from cellulose fibres in the Kraft process. It also plays an important role in several later stages of the bleaching process of the brown paper pulp resulting from the pulping process. These steps include, for example, oxygen delignification, oxidative extraction and simple extraction. Each of these processes requires a strong alkaline environment with a pH> 10.5 at the end of the steps.
In the construction industry, soda lye is used in some plasticizers for cement mixes. It helps to homogenize cement mixes, preventing sand and cement segregation, reducing the amount of water needed for mixing. Sodium hydroxide is also used in the production of water glass. It is also a very important raw material in the process of producing pigments and dyes for paints - e.g. titanium white.
Soda lye is also a very important ingredient used in the production of surfactants, and thus washing liquids and powders, water softeners and degreasing agents. In a liquid form, it is a component of various types of detergents used for both home and institutional use. In the textile industry, lye participates in the production of paints, dyes and artificial silk. In water treatment processes, by increasing the pH, it reduces the adverse effect of water on the water system. In addition, it reduces the content of copper, lead and other toxic metals that dissolve in drinking water.
In the pharmaceutical industry, sodium hydroxide is used, among others for the production of salicylic acid, polopyrin, sulfanilamides and many other drugs, preparations and supplements.
Sodium hydroxide, both in the form of aqueous solutions of various concentrations, and in solid form (caustic soda) is widely used in applications dedicated to the agricultural industry. It is used, for example, for the preparation of preparations for disinfection of farm premises such as: stables, piggeries, poultry houses, barns, dovecotes and warehouses. The product plays a very important role in the cleaning process of milking equipment, cold stores and tanks intended for transport and storage of dairy products.
In fruit growing, the product is used to combat fruit tree diseases (including fruit tree cancer) and to protect vines, while in bee-keeping it is used to clean hives.
Sodium hydroxide 50% solution, Sodium hydroxide in aqueous solution, NaOH in different concentrations, aqueous solution, sodium lye in different concentrations, sodium with RES energy guarantee.
