Rokopol® M1180 is a polyether polyol, a block/statistical copolymer of ethylene oxide and propylene oxide based on glycerine. It exists in the form of liquid free of mechanical impurities, may be opalescent. It contains antioxidants (excluding BHT). It has dynamic viscosity at temp. 25°C within the range of 1250-1550 mPas and hydroxyl value within the range of 31-36 mgKOH/g.
Rokopol® M1180 is used as cell opener for production of high resilience (HR) flexible and hyper soft (Hyper Soft) polyurethane foams using the continuous system (slabstock), periodic production (batch) and moulded foams. Applied together with appropriately selected additives (catalysts, silicones, foaming agents) it is used to produce blocks of hyper flexible foam with rectangular cross-section and height up to 120 cm.
Main advantages of application of Rokopol® M1180:
extended time of foam yellowing, the foam stays white longer (min. 70 parts in a formulation - necessary condition),
possibility to manufacture foams of density within the range 20-80 kg/m3, hardness within the range 0.6- 3kPa, and elasticity up to 40%,
tear resistance of the foam is above 40kPa and relative elongation at rupture above 200%,
it is used in combination with polyols of the series vTec for production of viscoelastic foams,
very high comfort factor,
very good resistance to scorch.
