EXOtrope CS is a specialised, multifunctional cationic surfactant. The product has a form of a clear liquid containing approximately 60% of the active substance. It is well soluble in water and its freezing point is approx. -19°C. These features make EXOtrope CS easy and convenient to use in process conditions as well as during storage and transport.
EXOtrope CS also stands out due to its degreasing and hydrotropic properties. This means that the product improves the solubility of other ingredients in the formulation. In addition, EXOtrope CS shows a very high resistance to alkalis and is stable at pH 14. It is also highly resistant in the presence of any chelating agents and electrolytes added into the formulation. Moreover, it is resistant in acidic environments. With these properties, the product is used mainly in cleaners or carwash products. It acts in synergy with non-ionic and other cationic surfactants.
