DOSS SULFOSUCCINATE is an anionic surfactant with active substance content of 60% diluted in 2-ethylhexanol used as a solvent. It is a surfactant with a limited solubility in water. Its unique molecular structure provides very effective wetting properties on highly hydrophobic materials, such as anthracite coal.
The product effectively lowers the interfacial tension, even at low concentrations (low CMC). In mining, it is used as a means of combating dust from mine or transport dust (roads in open-cast mines. It can also be used as a dye dispersant in the processing of plastic and resins of hydrophobic character.
In the agrochemical industry it is applied as a wetting agent in plant protection products. Additionally, it shows penetrating properties that increase the rate of absorbing pesticides by plants. DOSS Sulfosuccinate may also act as an emulsifier in the processes of emulsion and suspension polymerization. It is a component of corrosion inhibitors. The product can be used as an additive to support dehydration of post-flotation concentrates during filtration and drying. In the construction industry, it is used as a component of anti-adhesive additives that prevent concrete from sticking to the moulds. It is also used as a wetting agent for cement grains in concrete admixtures. Due to the presence of 2-ethylhexanol, it is recommended for technical applications.
Biodegradable surfactant and complies with the biodegradability criteria as laid down in Regulation (EC) No. 648/2004 on detergents.
