SULFOROKAnol L430/1 is an anionic surfactant, based on ethoxylated lauryl alcohol The product is available in the form of a clear solution containing 30% of active substance. Sulforokanol L430/1 is used as the basic, anionic emulsifier in the process of emulsion polymerization and it is particularly recommended in production of acrylic copolymers and styrene-acrylic dispersions, as well as products based on vinyl acetate copolymers.
Sulforokanol L430/1 provides polymer dispersions with a small particle size and very low content of coagulum. The combination of anionic and non-ionic groups provides unique product properties that improve product performance in the production of polymer dispersions.
SULFOROKAnol L430/1 is less sensitive to the presence of metal ions during the synthesis, improving better particle stabilization in hard water than the emulsifiers based on fatty alcohol sulphates. Improved stabilization of the particles makes the polymer dispersions produced with SULFOROKAnol L430/1 particularly useful in the formulation of paints and lacquers, as well as in the building industry. The best emulsifying effects are obtained by using SULFOROKAnol L430/1 in combination with non-ionic surfactants. It is especially recommended to use in systems with products such as ROKAnol L30 / 65, ROKAnol IT40 / 70 or ROKAnole UD28 / 70 and UD40 / 70.
SULFOROKAnol L430/1 may be also used in processes other than emulsion polymerization. It has very good foaming properties and resistance to alkaline environment, which make the product suitable as a component of professional cleaning agents used in industrial cleaning processes.
The surfactant complies with the biodegradability criteria laid down in Regulation (EC) No. 648/2004 on detergents.
