ROKAnol® GT3 is a non-ionic surfactant (ethoxylated fatty alcohols, INCI name: The product is part of the group of C9-C16 alcohol-based surfactants that constitute the ROKAnol® GT line. Due to its special properties, it is perfect as a substitute for ethoxylates based on C13 alcohol.
The product is in the form of a liquid with a tendency to stratification, with a Hazen colour of 100 max. determined at 40°C. ROKAnol® GT3 is insoluble in water and creates cloudy solutions in it. However, it dissolves in methanol. The commercial product contains over 99% of the active substance and solidifies at a temperature of approx. -10°C. The cloud point of the product is determined for a 10% ROKAnol® GT3 solution in a 25% BDG solution and amounts to 48-51°C. The product is compatible with non-ionic, anionic and cationic surfactants.
ROKAnol® GT3 is characterized by very low foaming abilities. The product is perfect as a degreaser of dirty surfaces due to its very good emulsifying and dispersing properties. ROKAnol® GT3 is perfect for cleaning formulations, especially in products intended for industrial and institutional applications. In combination with fatty alcohol surfactants having a higher degree of ethoxylation, it exhibits synergism in the cleaning action.
