EXOfos PB-136B is anionic surfactant classified among the phosphorus esters. The ester is based on ethoxylated tridecyl alcohol, and it is offered in acidic form. It has the form of a clear to slightly cloudy liquid at room temperatures. The coagulation temperature is below -20°C. The product is characterized by an acid number to the first contraflexure point in the range 75 to 85 mg KOH/g.
This product is used in metal processing, the textile industry and as an ingredient of products for hard surface cleaning. Chemfac PB-136B provides cleaning products with wetting, detergent, emulsifying and hydrotropic properties.
The product function in cleaning formulas works by improving the cleaning properties of the formulation and the detergency properties of other ingredients. The product works effectively in both very acidic and alkaline environments.
In preparations for metalworking, the product shows mild EP (extreme pressure), lubricating and emulsifying properties; can be used with metals such as aluminum and copper. EXOfos PB-136 is recommended as an additive to soluble oils and semi-synthetic coolants.
EXOfos PB-136B is compliant with the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) requirements, which means that it can be used in contact with food based on the CFR21 lists: 178.3400 and 178.3570.
