ROKAnol® LP2855 is a non-ionic surfactant of the alkoxylated fatty alcohol type. This product is based on a raw material of natural origin. It has the form of a clear or slightly cloudy liquid with a low coagulation temperature below -10°C and a bright colour, max. 100 on the Hazen scale.
The cloud point of this product is in the range 27-31°C. The low cloud point level in aqueous solutions enables the use of all application advantages of the product at temperatures close to or slightly higher than room temperature.
ROKAnol® LP2855 is one of the best wetting agents, with a high detergency level for the broadly understood household cleaning purposes and for professional cleaning, where apart from the above traits a low foam forming capability is also required. This product is characterized by cleaning properties at the same level as the widely used lauric acid ethoxylates, but it exhibits a several-fold lower foam-forming property. The low-foaming properties are considerably lower after the cloud point in water is exceeded, which positively affects the usage parameters of the product during the process. This means that along with ROKAnol® L5P5 it is one of the most versatile low-foaming surfactants available in the range. The discussed product has one significant advantage over ROKAnol® L5P5 – it is not classified according to CLP.
The excellent wetting properties of the product combined with a low cloud point are also used in professional agents intended for dishwashers. ROKAnol® LP2855, by lowering the wetting angle on hard surfaces, causes faster drying of dishware, thus preventing the formation of stains. Furthermore, these traits are used in plant protection products and adjuvants, where the wetting angle reduction determines the increase of efficiency of the active substance in a pesticide.
Moreover, ROKAnol® LP2855 can be used in auxiliary products for the textile industry, primarily in fabric bleaching products. It combines two basic advantages: excellent wettability on different types of fabric and high capacity to remove soiling from textile materials.
This product can be also used as a solubilizer in cosmetic formulations, i.e. in products used after firing, antiperspirants, in shower gels, in body care cosmetics, in coloured cosmetics and in hair styling products.
