DOSS70E SULFOSUCCINATE is an anionic surfactant with a concentrated content of the active substance (70%) in ethyl alcohol, with the INCI name: Diethylhexyl Sodium Sulfosuccinate. It is a surfactant with limited water solubility. Thanks to the unique structure of its molecule, it possesses highly efficient wetting properties for highly hydrophobic materials, such as anthracite coal. Bis(2-ethylhexyl) sulfosuccinate is often viewed as the wetting standard. It is efficient in reducing the inter-phase tension, even at low concentrations (low CMC).
The DOSS70E Sulfosuccinate, similar to DOSS70GP, has a wide range of applications in the textile industry, mainly in wetting formulations. This surfactant has the capacity to increase the efficiency of detergents during fibre washing, application and removal of dressings, and as a quick wetting agent during the dyeing process. This indicates efficiency at low concentrations. Furthermore, DOSS70E Sulfosuccinate is compatible with the ingredients of washer fluid; a small addition enhances the spreading properties of the fluid on the windscreen surface, fosters removal of insect remains and does not leave streaks.
DOSS70E Sulfosuccinate exhibits good pigment dispersing properties in printer inks and it improves their penetration. It is also used as a pigment dispersant in the plastics industry and for hydrophobic resins, and it can constitute a component of anti-fogging coatings.
In the agrochemical industry it can be used as wetting agent in plant protection products. It also has penetrating properties, which aid increases in the rate at which pesticides are absorbed by a plant. DOSS70E Sulfosuccinate can act as emulsifier in emulsion and suspension polymerization processes. It is an ingredient of corrosion inhibitors.
