ROKAnol® GA9W/80 is a non-ionic surfactant, which belongs to the group of ethoxylated fatty alcohols. The product co-forms a group of surfactants based on C10 Guerbeta alcohol. It has the form of paste or a cloudy liquid. At room temperature, it has a bright colour, i.e. max. 50 on the Hazen scale; however, its coagulation temperature is below -20°C.
The commercial product contains about 80% of the active substance. Its cloud point is determined for 1% ROKAnol® GA9W/80 solution in water and fluctuates in the range of 66÷70°C.
ROKAnol® GA9W/80 exhibits very high resistance to acids, as well as to alkalis. Furthermore, it is characterised by limited foam-forming capabilities and good solubility in water and low alcohols (e.g. methanol), as well as acetone. It works perfectly in mixtures with other non-ionic and ionic surfactants. Furthermore, the product exhibits very good degreasing properties for metal surfaces, both in the dynamic and static method. Thus, it can be successfully used as an ingredient of cleaning formulations to improve formulation stability and increase performance and efficiency.
ROKAnol® GA9W/80 can be used both in professional detergents and special acidic products, as well as for cleaning metals. The product exhibits capabilities that enable very good cleaning of hard surfaces and EMPA 125 fabrics. ROKAnol® GA9W/80 is used as an ingredient of cleaning products, detergents, products used in textiles and as an emulsifier in industrial applications. In addition, as all ROKAnol® GA series products, the product exhibits dispersant capabilities. A major advantage of the product is the low coagulation temperature (below -20°C), which is a major convenience for formulators during the storage of the product at low temperatures in the autumn and winter period.
ROKAnol® GA9W/80 is biodegradable in the natural environment and meets the criteria of the directive on detergents.
