Ekoprodur® WH4005 BLACK is a two-component polyurethane system designed to produce rigid closed-cell foam. According to DIN EN 13501-1 reaction to fire classification it is meets the requirements of class E. Ekoprodur® WH4005 BLACK does not contain CFCs and HCFCs according to the EC legislation (1005/2009). This system can be used as an enhanced density structural element where higher mechanical properties are required. It can be processed with the use of a low- and high-pressure foaming machine.
The recommended density of the foam in the product is > 90 kg/m3 depending on the application, it offers good mechanical properties at elevated temperatures (100–120°C).
The system consists of a polyol part (POLY component), which is dyed black, and an isocyanate part (ISO component). Each of the components is a viscous liquid and is characterized by different parameters. The recommended weight ratio of both components, while ensuring the maintenance of the parameters is 100:135.
Moreover, the system stands out due to decreased emission of volatile organic compounds (VOC), as it does not contain foaming agents, which significantly deplete the ozone layer — according to the regulations of the European Union (EC) no. 1005/2009 dated 16 September 2009.
As a result of combination and thorough mechanical mixing of both compounds, rigid (hard) closed-cell foam is created. The product has a hygienic certificate issued by PZH.
