ROKAnol® GA8LA is classified among the non-ionic surfactants of alkoxylated fatty alcohol type. The product co-forms a group of surfactants based on C10 Guerbeta alcohol. It has the form of liquid or casting paste with a tendency to coagulate at the temperature of approx. 20°C. However, at the temperature of 50°C, the product has a bright colour, max. 50 on the Hazen scale.
The cloud point of 1% of the ROKAnolu® GA8 water-based solution is between 54°C and 57°C. The product is highly soluble in water and short-chain alcohols. The product is characterised by a low content of free alcohol, which translates to mild odour and low irritation properties.
ROKAnol® GA8LA is used as an intermediate product for washing, laundry and cleaning agents, and as an emulsifier. It can be used in environments with oxidising agents, reducing agents and hard water. The product is active in cold water, acidic and neutral baths as well as in diluted alkalis. It can be used with other non-ionic additives and in mixtures with anionic and cationic surfactants. In connection with alkyl sulphates and alkyl aryl sulfonates, it shows a synergistic cleaning effect.
ROKAnol® GA8LA is used, among other things, in liquid and powder laundry detergents, in which high detergency is useful. The product is also used as a generally water-soluble surfactant in the production of detergents for hard surfaces. It is an ingredient of products, such as: detergents for cleaning bathrooms and kitchens, floor washing products, glass washing products, as well as car cosmetics. To enable forming stable formulations of detergents with high electrolyte content, ROKAnol® GA8LA can be mixed with hydrotropes or solvents (e.g. BDG, isopropanol).
ROKAnol® GA8LA is a product subject to biodegradation in the natural environment and meets the criteria of the directive on detergents.
