EXOfos PB-264 is an anionic surfactant belonging to the group of phosphoric esters. This ester is based on ethoxylated lauryl alcohol, INCI name: Laureth-4 Phosphate. The product is offered in an acidic form and is a viscous liquid at room temperature. EXOfos PB-264 is characterized by the acid number to the first inflection point ranging from 90 to 110 mg KOH/g and the second inflection point ranging from 150 to 180 mg KOH / g and phosphorus content up to 2%. The product is water-dispersible.
EXOfos PB-264 is a phosphoric ester showing emulsifying and lubricating properties in metalworking fluids. This product is soluble i.a. in paraffinic, naphthenic and rapeseed oils, therefore it is most often used in semi-synthetic and high-oil liquids and as an additive to oil. In addition to the above-mentioned basic properties, the product acts as a corrosion inhibitor and has wetting and detergent properties.
The product is also used as an O / W emulsifier in the production of cosmetics, as well as a water emulsifier in white spirit and chlorinated hydrocarbons. It is also used as a dispersant in pigments. Due to its antistatic and softening properties, EXOfos PB-264 is also used in the production of washing detergents.
