EXOhib PC500 is a specialist mixture of suitably selected chemical compounds, thanks to which it constitutes a highly efficient anti-flash rust inhibitor. EXOhib PC500 is intended mainly for the production of water-soluble anticorrosion paints. The commercial product contains approximately 50% the active substance in an aqueous solution. At room temperature (20-25°C) it takes the form of a light-coloured, clear liquid. This product is characterized by good water solubility. It is also soluble in low aliphatic alcohols. Its viscosity at a temperature of 20°C is about 15 cP while the coagulation temperature is about -20°C.
EXOhib PC500 is especially recommended as a corrosion inhibitor in the production of paints and coatings applied on steel surfaces. The product is fully compatible with other paint components, such as pigments, fillers, polymer dispersions and auxiliary agents.
The application of the EXOhib PC500 corrosion inhibitor enables highly efficient rust film inhibition during paint drying and coat formation on a surface. Apart from its basic application, EXOhib PC500efficiently supports the effect of the main corrosion inhibitors in a formulation. In this way, it counteracts the processes occurring during coat exposure to certain corrosion factors. Another advantage of using EXOhib PC500 in paint formulations is the visible reduction in paint coating bubbling when exposed to water.
The EXOhib PC500 corrosion inhibitor is characterized by a relatively mild classification. The product does not contain nitrites or aminoborates, thus it can be successfully used as an ingredient in the production of eco-friendly paints and varnishes. Recommended application level 0.2 – 0.8% depending on the formulation type.
