ROSULfan A70 MB is an anionic surfactant classified among the alkylsulfates with INCI name: Ammonium Lauryl Sulfate. The product belongs to the group of products covered by the RSPO certificate in the Mass Balance model(www.rspo.org). This means that the palm oil used to produce the basic raw material included in the ROSULfan A70 MB product comes from crops that do not contribute to the depletion of natural values. At the same time, its production respects the rights of people living in areas where oil palms are grown.
The product is intended mainly for the production of cosmetic products such as personal hygiene products. ROSULfan A70 has the form of a soft, colourless paste. It can also assume a bright yellow colour.
The active substance content in the product can be in the range 65%-70%. The product is characterised by the capability to generate thick and stable foam, which allows fine and equally distributed air bubbles to be achieved in the mixture.
Thanks to its properties, ROSULfan A70 can be used as the main component of cosmetic cleaning products. It is an excellent component for shampoos, body wash fluids, shower gels and liquid soaps.
The main advantage of the product is the retention of cleaning and foaming properties even in the presence of excess sebum. ROSULfan A70 exhibits considerably higher resistance to hard water, and at the same time lower irritant and drying effects as compared to the commonly used ingredient called Sodium Lauryl Sulfate.
When ROSULfan A70 is used in compositions including Sodium Lauryl Sulfate and/or Sodium Laureth Sulfate, it significantly reduces their irritant effect. This is of particular importance for the production of mild shampoos recommended for people with sensitive skin prone to irritation.
ROSULfan A70 is perfectly suitable for other industrial applications. In the construction industry it is used as a component of agents reducing the weight of plasterboards and an addition to aeration and plasticizing admixtures.
In emulsion polymerization, ROSULfan A70 ensures excellent stabilisation of polymer dispersions in lower pH ranges. Its application enables control of the particle size, including acrylic, styrene-acrylic systems, vinyl acetate homo- and copolymers, VaE dispersions and PVC emulsions.
The product is approved for use as an indirect food additive based on the lists published by the U.S. Food and Drugs Agency (FDA).
