ROKAnol L10A is a non-ionic surfactant, belonging to the group of ethoxylated fatty alcohols with the INCI name: Laureth-10. The product co-creates a group of surfactants based on lauryl alcohol. The active substance content in the product is very high, approximately 99%.
At 40°C ROKAnol L10A is a paste with a colour of max. 70 on the Hazen scale. It solidifies at about 25°C. It is very well soluble in water. The HLB parameter value for this product is around 14.1.
ROKAnol L10A is a surfactant that is characterized by higher hydrophilicity compared to ROKAnol L7A. It has excellent emulsifying and solubilizing properties. Due to its high cloud point value in water, it can be used in applications requiring high temperaturę.
Thanks to its very good detergency, wetting, dispersing and emulsifying properties, ROKAnol L10A is used as a basic surfactant in liquid and powder detergents, as well as dishwashing liquids, household and technical cleaners and hand cleaners. In these applications, it shows synergy in action with ROKAnol L3A, providing a high detergency effect and reducing the re-deposition of dirt.
ROKAnol L10A can be used in the environment of oxidizing and reducing factors as well as in the presence of hard water. It is active in cold water, in acidic and neutral baths, as well as in diluted alkalis. It has a higher resistance to the alkaline environment than ROKAnol L7A.
The product can be used in mixtures with other non-ionic auxiliaries and in mixtures with anionic and cationic surfactants. It has a synergic washing and cleaning effect in a mixture with alkyl sulphates and alkyl aryl sulphonates.
ROKAnol L10A is also widely used as an ingredient in cosmetic preparations, including those for washing and care of skin and hair, in make-up cosmetics, sunscreens, shaving creams and after-shave cosmetics.
In addition, this surfactant is used in the pre-treatment of fibers as a component of the formulation for removing mineral oilstains from woven and knit fabrics resulting from industrial knitting and weaving processes.
Due to its wetting properties for cotton fabrics, the product can be used as a component of bleaching compositions for raw knitted and woven cotton fabrics. ROKAnol L10A is also used at the final stage of the textile dyeing process as one of the ingredients that remove excess dyes from the bath.
ROKAnol L10A is biodegradable in the natural environment.
The product meets the criteria of biodegradation as laid down in Regulation (EC) No. 648/2004 on detergents.
