Rostabil TTDP-V is a highly specialised process stabiliser with a gentle and non-irritating odour. The product belongs to the new generation of phenol-free compounds. It is part of a series of stabilisers sold as “Rostabil”, their basic product version being Rostabil TTDP.
Owing to modern production technology, Rostabil TTDP-V is a response to the growing market requirements in terms of reducing the emissions of volatile organic compounds (VOC) by finished products.
Rostabil TTDP-V is an additive to plastics that exists as a homogeneous, colourless liquid. This feature is invaluable when it comes to manufacturing transparent, non-pigmented goods. For materials containing pigments, the product enhances colour stability of the finished article.
The Rostabil TTDP-V thermal stabiliser also prevents the degradation of polymer materials during their processing, and thus eliminates the yellowing of plastics caused by high temperatures.
Rostabil TTDP-V is especially dedicated to the processing of poly(vinyl chloride), which is used in particular to produce materials applied indoors. This additive is successfully used for producing “one-pack” mixtures, where it shows a synergistic effect when combined with phenol or amine stabilisers, or (calcium, zinc, barium) stearates. The stabiliser’s phenol-free composition enables the reduction of volatile organic compounds (VOC) in the finished product, and thus makes it easier to meet strict emission standards.
