ROKAcet R36 is a non-ionic surfactant with the INCI name:PEG-36 Castor Oil. It belongs to the group called polyoxyethylene castor oil fatty acid esters. This surfactant has the form of a liquid or a paste with semi-liquid consistency. The solidification point of the product is about 8°C. The product is well soluble in water and low aliphatic alcohols. ROKAcet R36 is a product with a very high concentration of the active substance, at least 99%.
The surfactant is a substance not covered by the CLP/GHS classification. It is easily biodegradable in the environment. The product complies with the biodegradability criteria as set out in Regulation (EC) No. 648/2004 on detergents.These features make ROKAcet R36 a product willingly chosen by formulation manufacturers from various industrial sectors.
ROKAcet R36 has several different functions and properties. It is a very good emulsifier. It also has a solubilising, dispersing and lubricating effect.
ROKAcet R36 can be used in the production of processing fluids based on soluble oils, semi-synthetic coolants, as well as neat oils.
Due to its very good emulsifying properties, the product is widely used in the agrochemical industry for the production of EC, SC, EW and ME liquid pesticide preparations. In addition, it works very well in combination with EXOcal 60B, constituting an effective emulsifier package.
ROKAcet R36 also has low-foaming properties. It shows good resistance to an acidic environment and moderate resistance to an alkaline environment. Thanks to its features, the product can be used as an effective softener in the textile, leather and paper industries.
