ROKAnol LP6066 MB is a non-ionic surfactant belonging to the group of alkoxylated fatty alcohols. Its INCI name is PPG-5-Ceteth-20. The product is a clear or slightly turbid, oily, light-coloured liquid. It is a surfactant with a high concentration of an active substance of approx. 100%.
ROKAnol LP6066 MB belongs to the group of products covered by the RSPO certificate in the Mass Balance model(www.rspo.org). This means that the palm oil used to produce the basic raw material included in the ROKAnol LP6066 MB product comes from crops that do not contribute to the depletion of natural values. At the same time, its production respects the rights of people living in areas where oil palms are grown.
ROKAnol LP6066 MB represents the ROKAnol LP series, a large group of low-foaming surfactants. They are dedicated for processes requiring the use of non-ionic compounds with particularly reduced foaming, while maintaining application parameters.
The product is a clear or slightly turbid, oily, light-coloured liquid with an active substance content of approx. 100%.
This surfactant is compatible with other surfactants.
Rokanol LP6066 MB is a very good emollient. It also shows very good emulsifying, solubilising, wetting and plasticising properties.
It is used as a component in many cosmetics, including: bath oils, antiperspirants, aftershaves, shampoos, colourless gels and many other water-alcohol systems.
The main effect of Rokanol LP6066 MB as a cosmetic ingredient is to create a silky, dry layer on the skin, which becomes smooth and soft to touch. The product also reduces the visibility of sebum.
Rokanol LP6066 MB also has lubricating properties. Thus, it eliminates the irritating effect of anionic surfactants in cosmetic formulations.
It has a similar effect in hair care formulations. Rokanol LP6066 MB makes hair glossy and soft. It also facilitates styling, which is why it is often used in the manufacture of hairdressing products.
Due to very good solubilising properties, Rokanol LP6066 MB allows the addition of fragrances without compromising the stability of foams or emulsions.
The surfactant complies with the biodegradability criteria as laid down in Regulation (EC) No. 648/2004 on detergents.
The product is not classified as hazardous according to the CLP/GHS Regulation.
