EXOdis PC230 is an anionic surfactant with very good dispersing and wetting properties.At room temperature, the product exists as a clear or slightly cloudy liquid with a characteristic odour. Its colour on the Gardner scale is max. 6. EXOdis PC230 is water-insoluble. Its 1% solution has a pH ranging from 2 to 3.
EXOdis PC230 is an anionic dispersant used in pigment concentrate, paint and varnish formulations based on organic solvents, especially medium- to high-polarity systems, such as epoxy, polyurethane or polyurea paints.
The product shows a strong affinity for inorganic pigments and fillers, especially titanium white and iron oxide-based pigments.
EXOdis PC230 allows efficient deflocculation of pigments and thus makes the mixture less viscous, which considerably increases the dispersion efficiency and favourably affects application properties of the end product.
The effect of EXOdis PC230 ensures excellent stability of the pigment in a formulation, protecting it against excessive sedimentation, delamination, or uncontrolled increase of viscosity.
In addition, it favourably affects the final colour and compatibility of the pigment in the end product. The recommended use level is 0.3 to 3.0% in a ready-to-use paint formulation or 1.0 to 10.0% in pigment concentrates.
