ROKAfenol N9PF is a non-ionic surfactant that belongs to the group of ethoxylated nonylphenols. Its INCI name is: INCI: Nonoxynol-9. It contains approx. 100% of the active substance. In pharmaceutical applications, the product is mainly used as a spermicide in non-hormonal contraceptives. It also works very well as an ingredient in washing and cleaning agents and as an emulsifier in formulations of various types.
ROKAfenol N9PF is a clear or opalescent, oily liquid with a colour of max. 70 on the Hazen scale. It solidifies at around 0°C. Its cloud point ranges from 58 to 61°C. The product shows good solubility in water. It is characterised by very good emulsifying and dispersing properties. Additionally, it also has a cleaning and degreasing effect.
ROKAfenol N9PF is dedicated to the production of non-hormonal contraceptives as an effective spermicide. It is perfect as an ingredient in finished products such as creams, gels, foams or lubricants.
ROKAfenol N9PF meets strict quality requirements specified in the most recent edition of the European Pharmacopoeia.
