EXOflot F1 is a product based on low molecular weight polyoxypropylene glycol. It contains approx. 100% of the active substance. At room temperature, it is a clear and viscous liquid with a low solidification point (below -20°C). The product dissolves well in cold water. However, its solubility decreases significantly with increasing temperature.
EXOflot F1 is used mainly as a foaming agent during the flotation of a wide range of sulphide ores (including copper, zinc, lead ores) and other industrial minerals. The product is a selective foaming agent that allows to obtain enriched flotation concentrates.
It is recommended for use especially in situations where a stronger foaming agent is required for alkaline flotation. As regards the pH value, the product is universal and can be effectively used between pH 3 and pH 12.
Due to its hydrophilic nature, the addition of EXOflot F1 to the flotation cycle is usually sufficient without any preconditioning. In some cases, the step of foaming agent addition may lead to yield improvement by reducing the overall dose of foaming agent.
The chemical nature of EXOflot F1 makes it an ideal product for flotation processes of coarser particles of ground ore. The recommended dose ranges from 5 to 50 g/t, and usually standard pre-sets are from 5 to 20 g/t. It must be noted that the dispensing rate of foaming agent varies depending on the usage operation. It is largely dependent on the ore type, grain size and water chemical composition.
EXOflot F1 is safe to use. It is not classified according to Regulation (EC) No. 1272/2008 [CLP/GHS].
