EXOstat KO is a non-ionic surfactant belonging alkanolamides, produced from natural vegetable oils. It is used as a liquid additive and antistatic agent for plastics.
At the temperature of 20÷25°C, the product is a clear or slightly cloudy, viscous light yellow to yellow liquid. This feature makes it willingly used in clear or transparent final products. Its freezing point is 0°C.
EXOstat KO is a slip agent for plastics. Its mechanism of action is based on effective migration to the surface of the material in order to reduce the friction coefficient and ensure sufficient slipping properties. Therefore, EXOstat KO is ideal for the production of biaxially oriented polypropylene (BOPP) or high and low density polyethylene (HDPE/LDPE) films.
Due to its liquid form, EXOstat KO is also successfully used in the production of specialized masterbatches with slipping and antistatic properties. The additive can also be used as an antistatic agent in the production of materials based on styrene, e.g. GPPS.
The product is subject to ADR/RID, IMDG, ICAO/IATA regulations.
