ROKAnol S20 is a non-ionic surfactant belonging to the group of alkoxylated alcohols. It’s INCI name is Steareth-20. At room temperature, the product is a white or yellowish-white mass with a waxy structure. The commercial product may also appear as flakes or granules and microspheres.
ROKAnol S20 has a synergistic effect with anionic, cationic, amphoteric and other non-ionic surfactants. It also has a high resistance in the presence of electrolytes and in an alkaline environment.
The surfactant is a universal and very effective emollient. So, as a component of cosmetic preparations, it improves the condition of the hair and skin, making them smooth, soft and healthy looking.
The product has excellent emulsifying properties.Therefore, it is willingly used as an ingredient in various types of cosmetic emulsions.Also, the product effectively stabilizes foam, and has a very good effect on the rheological properties of finished cosmetics.
ROKAnol S20 is a non-ionic surfactant with many properties and functions that can be useful in a very wide range of ready-made cosmetic formulations.In addition to its excellent emulsifying properties, it works well as a thickening agent and a very effective solubilizer.
Thanks to these features, ROKAnol S20 is willingly used both in the production of detergents and as an ingredient in many different cosmetics, including creams, body and face care lotions, baby care products, sunscreens, antiperspirants, deodorants, shaving preparations, hair dyes, hair conditioners, hair rinses, wet wipes and make-up products.
It is worth noting that ROKAnol S20 meets the strict quality requirements as set out in the latest edition of the European Pharmacopoeia, and thus it is also offered as an auxiliary agent dedicated to the pharmaceutical industry, known as ROKAnol S20PF.
ROKAnol S20 is biodegradable in the environment (OECD criteria). It is not subject to ADR/RID regulations.
