EXOcal 60B is an anionic surfactant from the group of calcium salts of alkyl benzene sulphonic acid. The EXOcal series is a family of versatile and functional anionic emulsifiers designed for the agrochemicals industry.

EXOcal 60B is a calcium salt with a concentration of approximately 60% of the anionic active substance in isobutanol as a solvent. The product is a yellow to brown liquid and the pH of a 5% solution varies from 5.0 to 7.0 (pH determined in a isopropanol : water mixture).
EXOcal 60B is mainly used as the basic emulsifier for the preparation of pesticide, insecticide and fungicide emulsion concentrates (EC) in the agrochemical industry.
It can also be used in emulsion systems such as emulsion in water (EW), suspension emulsions (ES), oil dispersions (OD) and microemulsions (ME).
EXOcal 60B provides the so-called spontaneous emulsibilityin emulsion concentrate formulations, affecting long-term emulsion stability. In this type of formulations, it is usually used with non-ionic emulsifiers, such as ROKAnol TSP16 or R-series ROKAcets. These types of combinations ensure the proper hydrophilic–lipophilic balance (HLB) of the formulation and increase its effectivenessthanks to having a synergistic effect.
EXOcal 60B can also be used as a dispersant and sinkability-improving agent in the production of aluminium pastes.
The product is subject to ADR/RID, ADN, IMDG, IATA regulations and classification according to Regulation (EC) No. 1272/2008 [CLP].
The product is biodegradable as per the OECD criteria.
