Active Play AS H 8013_2 is a one-component polyurethane adhesive based on MDI mixture, with high functionality (>2.5). It exists in form of a dark amber liquid. It is characterized by viscosity of 1000-2000 mPas at temp. 25°C, with the content of NCO groups between 14,5-15,5%.
Active Play AS H 8013_2 is a dedicated raw material for the production of cold and hot molded parts from SBR and EPDM rubber granules obtained also in the process of recycling. It is moisture-hardened.
Active Play AS H 8013_2 is a prepolymer dedicated to bonding in various recycling processes – including the bonding of black SBR granules, also obtained from ground, used car tires. It is also used for bonding, among other things, weights and similar products.
SBR granules are obtained by cutting car tires. It is characterized by its black color, high abrasion and weather resistance. It dampens sound brilliantly, it is safe, flexible and does not absorb water. As a result, it is used mainly in the production of mats or of formed items, such as safety plates, base mats, accessories for road building and sound and vibration insulating mats.
The pigmented prepolymer - Active Play AS H 8013_2 - must be mixed before application. The SBR granules should be moistened with prepolymer and then placed in the mold so that it is cured under the influence of temperature and moisture while the press operates.
The adhesive consumption ranges from about 5 to 17 % depending on the amount of granules and the used SBR or EPDM fraction of the curing method.
The properties of the molded part (such as a plate) depend on the size and the composition of the rubber granules, and quantity of the one-component polyurethane adhesive and in the case of the molded process, it also depends on the degree of compression during curing. The adhesive curing process takes place at temperatures from about 90°C to 150°C. The choice of temperature and humidity depends on the applied technology and allows, among other things to reduce the time of curing/polymerization.
Rubber granules such as SBR or EPDM, among others, must be mixed thoroughly with the adhesive in a suitable mixer. The quality of the application depends on the correct choice of granules. Make sure that the rubber granules are fully compatible with the adhesive. The use of the wrong granules will reduce or even prevent the adhesive from curing.
The prepolymer, combined with SBR granules, forms a good rigid joint preserving its elasticity at the same time. It does not contain volatile organic solvents.
Active Play AS H 8013_2 is designed for the manufacture of cold- and hot-moulded parts from SBR and EPDM rubber granules, among others, weights and similar products.
the product forms a rigid joint with good elasticity,
the product does not contain volatile organic solvents,
the product is easy to apply for joining various rubber granules,
the product has high resistance to temperature - in the production of formable elements temperatures in the range from about 90°C to 150°C can be applied,
higher humidity allows shortening of the curing process of a surface or element,
the product improves good mechanical properties of formed elements.
Application:
broad application in the polyurethane sector,
for making cold and hot molded parts from SBR or EPDM rubber granules,
suitable for the manufacture of, inter alia, weights and similar products,
the product is intended only for use in industrial installations or professional activities.
