EKOPRODUR 2232W is a polyurethane system that includes two key components. The first of these is a polyol mixture in the form of an oily liquid with a light colour (from straw to yellow). The second component is a mixture of aromatic polyisocyanates, which is a thick, dark liquid with a brown colour. Both components are free of suspensions. The important information is that the second component easily absorbs moisture and undergoes crystallization.
The EKOPRODUR 2232W system is used for the production of rigid foam with a closed-cell structure. In addition, the foam has self-extinguishing properties. The distinguishing feature of the system is its excellent flow rate. Due to the parameters of the obtained foam, it is widely used as insulating material in the production of tanks and in-situ flooding processes.
The system can be processed using both low and high pressure foaming machines. Foam density in the finished product should not be lower than 36 kg / m3 (calculated as the ratio of system weight to the total volume of the mould).
For processors and end users, the key advantage is that EKOPRODUR 2232W does not contain foaming agents that significantly deplete the ozone layer. This is in accordance with the European Union regulations on the circulation and use of controlled substances according to Regulation (EC) No. 1005/2009 of 16.IX.2009.
In addition, the product has a Hygienic Certificate of the National Institute of Hygiene (PZH), which confirms that the product, when used in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions, does not adversely affect health and the environment.
Main application advantages of the system:
manufacture of insulating material on a discontinuous production line,
obtaining insulation with a low thermal conduction coefficient (λ), which enables reduction of thickness and material consumption,
production of insulating material based on rigid polyurethane foam with a wide application range, including for the production of tanks,
the possibility of producing insulation with uniform distribution of density and good temperature stability,
production of cost-effective insulation material.

Criteria for processing:
optimal temperature of raw materials: 18-22 ° C,
optimum ambient temperature: 15-25 ° C.
The method of mixing and filling the system should ensure uniform filling. In the case of a tank surface made of, for example, aluminium or stainless steel, it may be necessary to mechanically or chemically prepare the surface to increase adhesion.
The foam obtains its full mechanical properties after about 24 hours.
