Tensamin CH11 is a preparation for specialized use in the power industry. Product with increased (about 11%) content of active substance. It is a clear liquid due to its good water solubility. It is used as a de-oxidant in high-pressure boilers, tanks and condensate circuits.
Despite the alkaline environment used in most steam circuits, the corrosion problem still exists due to the presence of even small amounts of oxygen (dissolved oxygen, DO2), which at a higher temperature significantly accelerates the process. Tensamin CH11 eliminates oxygen residues that are not removed in any other way.
The active substance in the product is carbohydrazide. It is an effective alternative to hydrazine - a commonly used hazardous substance that brings with itself technological problems related to storage and safe dosing (explosive substance).
Tensamin CH11, thanks to its characteristic carbohydrazide molecule, effectively captures oxygen. At room temperature the product is stable and its dosing is extremely easy. Tensamin CH11 forms a passive oxide film (magnetite) with existing corrosion centres. It protects the surface against further oxidative degradation. In addition, the product does not leave solid deposits after application and does not decompose to acidic organic compounds that may induce corrosion centres.
